Parents,
teachers, even coaches and sunday school teachers, are always using
bribes to get you to do your homework, chores, dribble a little faster,
or study your religion more.
But a predator
might bribe you with money, clothes, trips, drugs, alcohol, or other
really special things that they know turn you on.
They don't resort to the kind of bribery that gets you to do something
they know you wouldn't normally do, or to keep you quiet once they
have tricked you, until they feel that they will be able to get what
they want from the bribe.
If someone has tricked you and now is using bribery to keep you from
talking, trust your instincts when they tell you to tell someone.
Trust your feelings. If it feels wrong, it probably is. SAY
NO, GET AWAY THEN GO TELL AN ADULT YOU TRUST.
You must remember
that if you have been tricked, or they are bribing you with really
cool stuff, like money or the job of a lifetime, it is only so they
can control you. At some point the bribery will end, and the threats
will begin.
Predators will use any way possible to keep you quiet, and to keep
control of you.
It isn't your fault, and those that love you and care about you will
love you and care about you no matter what.
All the money in the world isn't worth being someone's slave, and
that is what you become, their slave.
